Owner: Chris Distel


Chris is the Owner/Operator of B&E Security Consulting, LLC. Prior to starting the consulting firm, he served in two branches of the United States military for more than 18 years and worked for nearly a decade in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC).


Chris enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2004 and graduated the School of Infantry before being hand-selected to join the White House Communications Agency in Washington DC. Serving as part of the President’s security contingent, he travelled to more than 20 countries while engaging directly with senior State Department officials regarding security protocols and advance security operations. Following his White House tour, Chris volunteered for assignment as an infantry squad leader, where he deployed to Iraq. Finally, he served as a Chief Combat Instructor at the Marine’s School of Infantry.


After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps in 2012, Chris enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard as a part-time Security Forces Defender. He subsequently volunteered for a deployment to the United Arab Emirates, where he worked as the flight line supervisor; responsible for securing more than $7 Billion worth of Air Force assets. His Security Forces background includes tactical and operational security positions at the Flight and Squadron levels; with specialized support to the National Guard Bureau’s Domestic Operations program. Within his functional community, he has held positions in air base defense operations as a Team Leader, Flight Chief, and in support functions in program management.


In 2012 Chris also started working for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections as a Correction Officer at one of the State’s high security prisons. Throughout his tenure with ODRC he served in several roles, with the most notable being as a Regional Security Administrator and as a Deputy Warden at the State’s high security female prison. While serving as a Regional Security Administrator, Chris was responsible for advising the Wardens at 7 different correctional facilities on all security matters within their facilities.


Most recently, Chris serves as the Operations Superintendent for the 178th Security Forces Squadron in Springfield, OH. In this role he is directly responsible for all security and law enforcement operations within the confines of the military installation.


With military service in two branches, nearly a decade of service in ODRC and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, Chris brings with him an aggregated skill-set for a multitude of operational and security environments.
